White coat ceremony at Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed al Nahyan Medical and Dental College (SKZMDC)
White coat ceremony of 2nd batch of 1st year MBBS students of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan medical and dental college (SKZMDC), a component of Sheikh Zayed medical complex, Lahore was held on December 11, 2010 at 2pm. All the students of the new 1st year MBBS along with their parents and the students of the 2nd year MBBS were present.
The chief guest, Professor Dr. Khawaja Sadiq Hussain, ex-principle King Edward Medical College Lahore addressing the ceremony emphasized the importance of punctuality, discipline and dedication in the future education and training of the students. He also shared his past experience with the students and faculty of SKZMDC.
Earlier Prof. Dr Anwar-e-Khan, Chairman and Dean of Sheikh Zayed medical complex gave warm welcome to the new students in his address. He highlighted the achievements of the institute in teaching and training of medical and paramedical professionals besides revealing the grand history of the complex spun over the past 25 years.
Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Principal SKZMDC introduced the entire faculty to the audience and also introduced the new 1st year students individually.
Mr Novaid, additional secretary cabinet division government of Pakistan also addressed the ceremony.
The students of the college showed much enthusiasm and zeal for their profession. New white coats were also provided to all the students of the 1st year MBBS during this ceremony.
