IM: I wrote 9-10 pages for the essay, including the outline. My main focus was to write according to the topic, especially the opening and ending sentences of introduction. I paid much attention on introduction and also the conclusion.

JWT: What was your strategy for the General Knowledge paper?

IM: Since negative marking is done in this important paper, I marked the options I was completely sure about.

IM: I won’t suggest any limit.

JWT: Is it better to attempt optional papers in Urdu or one should go with English only?

IM: It is better to attempt in English as it will help you gain more practice in writing.

JWT: How one should choose Optional Subjects?

IM: It is totally up to the candidate. I would suggest going for the subjects one has interest in.

JWT: Who deserves the credit for your success?

IM: My parents, relatives, friends and the strangers. You learn many things from them which ultimately help you in getting different ideas, words, views and impacts,

JWT: As interviewers usually grill the interview candidates, how did you manage the situation?

IM: I was very confident. After introduction, the panel tried to grill me by asking a series of token questions. I gave correct answers of 7-8 questions and dropped 3 to 4. Afterwards, the interview went smooth for about 25 minutes.

Advice for Fresh Aspirants

My advice for aspirants is: Study hard with consistency and never give up. Moreover, try to speak English with your family, friends and people around you. It will boost your confidence and will help you in making better choice of words and improving your vocabulary. And, above all, it will also be beneficial for your interview.
