1 vision, 3 countries
Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia
Following a tri-lateral meeting of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Malaysian Premier Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad on the sidelines of the 74th UNGA session in New York last year, the three countries announced setting up a joint English language channel to confront the challenges posed by Islamophobia, and removing “misperceptions” about Islam. The three countries affirmed to pool their talent and knowledge, and to collaborate in research and development. The establishment of the channel was aimed at offering Muslims a dedicated media presence to help fight the growing anti-Islam propaganda.
