The Sukkur Institute of Business Administration is a public sector degree awarding Institute approved by Higher Education Commission and chartered by the Government of Sindh.

It has been ranked as the 3rd best Business School in Pakistan by HEC. In 1994, the Sukkur Institute of Business Administration was established for business education, initially in the hired building of Public School, Sukkur. Today it offers undergraduate, MBA, MS and PhD programmes in disciplines of Management, Engineering, Computer Science and Education.

The mission of Sukkur IBA is to contribute and serve community by imparting knowledge through innovative teaching and applied research at the global levels of excellence. It aims to establish and sustain a competitive environment by strengthening faculty and using state of the art technology to produce graduates with analytical and creative thinking, leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit, who possess global outlook and are conscious of ethical values.

IBA Sukkur has also taken initiatives to improve standard of education in Rural Sindh. IBA has established Model Community Colleges in rural areas of Sindh to provide quality basic education and also development of skills in order to contribute in social and economic development of the area.

Taking this mission further, IBA Sukkur has stepped into the field of Competitive Examinations. IBA announced a combined preparatory programme for CSS and Combined Competitive Examination of Sindh Public Service Commission. This programme is supported by the officers posted in Sukkur region who have committed themselves to this noble cause of providing sincere and right guidance to the aspirants of CSS in Sukkur.

The CSS/CCE preparatory classes at IBA are an excellent combination of a scholarly environment and state-of-the-art facilities and the personal coaching provided by CSS qualified officers. The programme features renowned CSS mentors belonging to the PAS and PSP, including Mr Rafaqat Ali, Mr Mufakhar Adeel, Mr Mubeen Illahi, Mr A. Rahim Sherazi and others. Presence of these CSS toppers and seasoned mentors at campus would not only ensure direct access of the students to the firsthand information, it would also serve as a confidence boost for them.

An awareness seminar was arranged at IBA Sukkur on July 6, 2013 attended by hundreds of aspirants of CSS/CCE. Experienced mentors and IBA faculty were present to provide proper guidance to those aspirants. The CSS preparatory classes started on July 15 and owing to an overwhelming response, IBA decided to conduct an initial screening test in order to gauge aptitude and skills of aspirants for competitive examinations. Unlike CSS preparatory academies, this programme of IBA Sukkur, being a top-class institute, is not profit-oriented and doesn’t intend to enrol as many candidates as possible. Therefore, the admissions were closed at the deadline and, considering the large number of students, two separate classes have been started in order to ensure quality of education as well as individual focus.

This programme comprises two modules, each of two months duration. It features lectures by CSS qualified teachers as well as subject specialists, fortnightly assessment tests and extension lectures on important topics by renowned scholars. Special focus would be on English grammar, study plans for each subject, paper attempting skills and improving general knowledge of the students. A range of optional subjects are being offered considering the aptitude of students as well as recent scoring trends in CSS.

IBA Sukkur aims to impart quality education and develop requisite skills in the students through committed qualified faculty, modern teaching style, furnished computer & technical labs, and state-of-the-art library in order to enable the students to fulfil their dream of joining Civil Services of Pakistan.
